Your project, personally managed by Cameron
Cameron is a time-served bricklayer with 13 years of experience. He coordinates the right trades for the job and stays involved from your first site visit through to the final checks on the agreed work.
You can speak to him directly by phone, email or WhatsApp. He keeps you informed about progress, explains delays and takes pride in a neat, tidy site.
We selected Cameron and his team for an extension on our property. Cameron made the whole process easy and clear with his communication and breakdown of job as the project progressed. The team kept everything very tidy and the work carried out was to an exceptional standard. I would highly recommend.

Questions about house extensions
Practical answers to help you plan the next step.
Do I need planning permission for a house extension?
Some house extensions can fall within permitted development, subject to the property and the proposal meeting the relevant conditions. Others need a planning application. Building-regulations approval is a separate matter. Your architect or local planning authority can advise on the requirements for your home. Agree the necessary applications before work begins; Cameron liaises with building control during the stages he manages.
Can you build my extension from existing plans?
Yes. Send your drawings and any available structural information when you arrange the site visit. Cameron reviews the proposed work and discusses the practical scope, access and handover stage with you. He can then identify what is ready to quote and any details that still need to be agreed. Changes to the design should be reflected in the written scope.
Can I stay at home during the extension?
That depends on the layout, access and how the work connects to the rooms you use. Cameron discusses disruption with you before the programme is agreed, including the stages that affect existing living space. The plan should make clear what access remains available and what arrangements you may need to make.
What affects house extension costs?
The footprint is only part of the picture. Ground conditions, structural openings, the roof, access, glazing and the finish all affect the scope. A single-storey extension and a two-storey addition can involve very different work. Book a site visit for Cameron to assess your property and drawings, then prepare a quote for the extension and the handover stage you actually need.
Can you hand the extension over at wall plate?
Yes, if this is the stage you want and it is included in the agreed scope. Wall plate means taking the walls to the level that supports the roof structure, with the later stages left for you to arrange. Plaster finish and a fully finished handover are also options. Cameron records what is included and what remains before work starts.
How are changes handled during the build?
If your plans change or unforeseen work becomes necessary, Cameron discusses the variation with you. He explains the work involved, the cost and any effect on the programme before it goes ahead. Changes are recorded against the original agreed scope. You keep a clear understanding of the decisions made.
What should we agree before this work starts?
The opening into your home is as important as the additional floor area. Structural support, floor levels and the meeting of roof and walls need to be considered together. Cameron coordinates the relevant trades around your architect’s and engineer’s information. Access, deliveries and the effect on occupied rooms are discussed before work starts. While the build progresses, you receive direct updates and a clear explanation if something affects the programme. Keeping the site neat and tidy is part of the job.
